About Me

Reading has been my solace for quite a few years now, but I never felt the need or want to review anything I read (thinking no one would really care what I had to say), but a few people have convinced me that I may have some worthy opinions to share with the world. A few things about myself: my name is Alyssa and I live in Connecticut (no, it's not just a bunch of rich people). I currently have a full-time desk job and go to school online part time for my Master's in Psychology.

I enjoy traveling even though I haven't been able to go anywhere in a while I still love to talk about my past adventures so feel free to reminisce with me. Some of the places I've been include a study abroad trip to Japan, and most countries in Europe.

I love cats, candy, and cooking/baking. I'm also a sports fan, love the Dallas Cowboys and New York Knicks.

I'm usually a pretty fast reader unless a book is really dragging on or unless I'm taking a little more time to enjoy the author's use of imagery or elaborate prose. If you have any book recommendations, let me know and feel free to add me on goodreads at: goodreads.com/acampbell1230

Unfortunately, I am not taking review requests at this time.

  1. Hi Alyssa, It is nice to meet another Dallas Cowboy fan!. I read on the Book Blogger List that you are a member of NetGalley. My novel, In the Realm of Ash and Sorrow, a blend of historical fiction and magical realism set in Japan during the closing months of World War 2, has recently gone on NetGalley. I thought you might be interested in reading it since you mentioned studying in Japan. I'm pleased to report that the novel has been receiving some great reviews so far, including a starred review from Kirkus. Here is the NetGalley link: https://www.netgalley.com/catalog/book/189253. Have a nice day! Kenneth
